Togo

Togo is located in West Africa on the Atlantic Coastline and wedged between Ghana and Benin and is among the smallest countries in Africa. However, it is one of the highest standards of living on the continent due to its  valuable phosphate deposits and well-developed exporting system of  agricultural goods such as coffee, cocoa beans, and peanuts.  Togo’s population is growing at a rate slightly higher than the sub-Saharan African average and well above the global average. Like other countries in the region, its birth-rate is high with about three-fourths of the population are age 29 or younger.   The population of Togo is made up of 56 people groups, with currently eight still unreached.  About half of the population professes to be Christian, however many of Togo’s population still practices various ancestral forms of Voodoo & fetish type beliefs.  About one-eighth of the population is Muslim.  We are actively working among Unreached People Groups in Togo.

All of our Unreached People Group statistics come from The Joshua Project, who’s whole mission is to bring awareness to all of the Unreached People Groups all around the world! Clicking on the link above that says “learn more” will take you to the Joshua Project website of that Unreached People Group.
