Chad

Chad is a landlocked country in Central Africa. Chad is divided into three major geographical regions: a desert zone in the north, an arid Sahelian belt in the center and a more fertile Sudanese savanna zone in the south.  The rivers and lakes are among the richest in fish of all African waters. But because of the climate, the humid regions also contain swarms of insects, some of which are dangerous.  Even with a  nation rich in resources, Chad is one of poorest nations in the world.  Life expectancy is less than 50 years. Almost half the population of Chad is under age 15.

Chad is home to over 200 different ethnic and linguistic groups and Christians make up 27.8% of Chad’s population. However, out of 141 people groups in Chad, there are still 80 Unreached People Groups! We are actively working in Chad among the Runga People Group and have created connections actually with the younger generation through soccer, which has opened a door to help with building water wells, educating their children and using Farming God’s Way!

All of our Unreached People Group statistics come from The Joshua Project, who’s whole mission is to bring awareness to all of the Unreached People Groups all around the world! Clicking on the link above that says “learn more” will take you to the Joshua Project website of that Unreached People Group.
