Central African Republic
Central African Republic (CAR) is a landlocked country in Central Africa that is mainly desert in the northern region and rainforest in the southern region. Rich in diamonds, gold, oil and uranium, CAR has one of the world's poorest populations. The nation is not at rest. Thousands of people walk for weeks and hide in the forests desperate for safety. Many times these people have nothing to eat or drink.
Pray for peace in CAR. In the midst of chaos, the church is being revived, partly through the use of Live School in host churches using it. Because of the war though, vast territories within CAR need to be re-evangelized with the true Gospel. Everywhere we go, God goes before us and sets things up for “GREATER IMPACT.” We have seen a great response from this nation.
Though most of CAR is Christian, it is really in "name" only. However, the harvest is RIPE in CAR not only with the so-called reached but with the unreached as well. Most of the church has neglected CAR, and there is still fighting in parts of the country from the war that seems to linger in places. There is a lot of work to do, but God is moving in a mighty way throughout Central African Republic.
