About Equatorial Guinea

Equatorial Guinea is located on the west coast of Africa. It consists of Río Muni, which is located on the continent, and five islands known as insular Equatorial Guinea. The climate of both the continental region and the islands is typically equatorial offering high temperatures, heavy rainfall, and cloud cover most of the year. Much of... the continental portion of Equatorial Guinea is covered by dense tropical rainforest. Equatorial Guinea’s economy traditionally depended on three commodities, cocoa, coffee, and timber. However, the discovery and exploitation of petroleum and natural gas changed the country’s economic profile in the 1980s. Petroleum now accounts for the majority of Equatorial Guinea’s exports has changed the nation’s economy. Nevertheless, the standard of living for most people within this nation has not improved. Farming continues to be the predominant occupation for most families in Equatorial Guinea. Equatorial Guinea is the third largest producer of oil in Sub-Saharan Africa. The nation is predominately Christian. With 18 people groups in Equatorial Guinea, two remain unreached.

What's Happening in Equatorial Guinea

We have recently begun working in Equatorial Guinea and are excited about the future for this nation.  Equatorial Guinea is the only Spanish speaking country within WACA.  Our focus is currently building our team.  We have great favor already, and are working with the local church to expand the Kingdom.
